Spend the first weekend in May in the heart of the Highlands. Louisville’s most desirable place to be, other than Churchill Downs on Derby day. Just minutes from anywhere you would want to be in Louisville, Kentucky. Just 5 minutes from Churchill Downs, 10 minutes from the airport and 5 minutes from the beat of 4th Street Live located downtown. You will be staying in one of Louisville’s most happening strips, where fine dining, nightlife, gallery shoppes, coffee & dessert shoppes pave the way to people watching galore.

Our home is a 110 year old bungalow with three full floors of comfort. Three bedrooms, two full baths & two half baths. Sleeps 6 adults and has room for more with sleeper sofa in finished basement. The main floor houses the parlor, the dining room, laundry room, half bath, family/entertainment room, master bedroom (full size bed) and full bath and gourmet kitchen with eat-in bar. All appliances are new and yours to use during your stay, including a Ducane gas grill. The second floor has another full bath and two bedrooms (queen size bed in one, full size bed in the other). A genuine Southern front porch to enjoy your Kentucky bourbon and stogies, and the true hospitality of the Highlands.

The fully finished basement houses another half bath and a large media room with HDTV, surround sound, digital cable, DVD and X-Box game console. Our home office is equipped with a complete working set-up – fax, copy, color printer and hi-speed internet access. But work will not be on your agenda – there are plenty of other things to keep you busy during your stay in Louisville.

Your stay could begin on Wednesday afternoon with the Great Steamboat Race. You are just 10 minutes away with the finest dining on the river at Captain’s Quarters. Thursday, the great Pegasus Parade marches through town, just around the corner from our home. Friday kicks off the Kentucky Oaks at Churchill Downs followed by Derby Eve galas all across town. The most famous, the Barnstable-Brown Gala, is within walking distance. Celebrities flock to this event and crowds are welcome. The first Saturday in May, welcomes you with the taste of Mimosa’s, another full afternoon of betting on the ponies and sipping mint juleps.

So…what do you get?

In addition to your accommodations, we provide private transportation throughout your stay. To and from the airport, to the many restaurants and hot spots around town and of course Churchill Downs. Just about anywhere you want to go. WOW!!!

Additional amenities to consider for your enjoyment and convenience:

Louisville offers numerous fine dining establishments but a note of warning…most require reservations during Derby week or are on a first come first serve basis and the wait can be long. So we have brought the best to you.

A professional chef, from one of Louisville’s five star restaurants, available in our home. He will prepare breakfast and dinner of your choice throughout your stay. Thursday – Sunday. Special meals prepared for upon request in advance. $250 per day for your entire group.

The opportunity to play one of Louisville’s most prestigious private golf clubs, Audubon Country Club. Additional cost is $100 per person, plus cart rental.
As travelers who enjoy the comforts of home, we are offering this opportunity to you to ensure that your stay during Derby week is enjoyable. However, this is our home and we ask that you respect that.

Cost: $4,500 (Thursday – Sunday)

A refundable damage and security deposit is required along with a deposit of 25% to reserve your stay. The damage and security deposit will be returned to you following an inspection of the property upon departure. Balance and deposit in cash or cashiers check on arrival or cleared in advance.
