If your looking to avoid the crowds, but enjoy the derby, then a stay in an artist sanctuary just south of Louisville is exactly what your looking for. This contemporary home, designed by a local glass artist and designer is far enough from the hustle, bustle and crowds, but close enough to be a convenient “base of operations” for all things derby. Twelve miles from Louisville proper, 15 minutes from Churchill downs, downtown, and most derby events. You will be surrounded by original artworks, in a five acre private wooded lot. A master bathroom and bedroom on the top floor can accommodate, romantically, two adults very comfortable. The kitchen and living room, with cd player and stereo, over looks our sitting room with indoor fountain, you will not need to cook, because of the personal chef, who will cook three meals a day if needed. Downstairs is another bath with shower and additional bedrooms for 2 more adults. With satellite t.v. And a dvd player in every bedroom, along with wireless internet, your media needs will be satisfied. Privacy, comfort and Art await you at our house, and when your ready to enjoy derby festivities, your close enough not to take up to much time for traveling, but far enough to be away from unwanted attention or crowds. A treadmill, inverter and small exercise equipment are also used in the fountain room. At special request, a fax, printer and perhaps other office equipment can be provided, if you need to work during your stay. We will provide a driver to and from the airport, but your own transportation will have to be provided. Who wants to cook after traveling and while spending days at the derby drinking mint juleps and derby events? Well our professionally trained private chef understands, and he will be happy to feed you, any special request, or dietary needs should be given in advance, and will be met. Privacy contracts are available. $2000 per day will include rental and meals, for up to 4 adults. A refundable damage and security deposit is required along with a deposit of 25% to reserve your stay. The damage and security deposit will be returned to you following an inspection of the property upon departure. Balance and deposit in cash or cashiers check on arrival or cleared in advance. A cancelation of less than 30 days notice will forfeit your deposit, at least 30 days notice to the first day of the your visit of a cancelation is required to receive your deposit back. |
